Collaboration - WMU contributed to the technical session of the 4th Meeting of Range States for the European Eel held in Malmö and co-organized by the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) of the United Nations

Research - The WMU-Sasakawa Global Ocean Institute co-hosted a Strategy Session on 12 March with the Economist Impact titled “Driving ocean-centred solutions by islanders for small island developing states (SIDS)”.

Collaboration - WMU provided technical expertise for two national workshops delivered under the IMO SMART-C GHG Project in Viet Nam and the Philippines.

Collaboration - Sweden has been the host country of WMU since the University was inaugurated in 1983, and WMU is the only United Nations institution that is headquartered in Sweden. 

- Mr. Johan Davidson, State Secretary to the Minister, welcomed Professor George Theocharidis, Professor Henning Jessen, and Professor Johan Hollander for the visit.
